Rally taken out to mark World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse

Students of the Coimbatore Cloth Merchants Association Government Girls Higher Secondary School took out a rally here on Wednesday to mark the World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse, observed annually on November 19.

District Collector Archana Patnaik flagged off the rally in which around 300 students took part.

They went around the Town Hall area carrying placards and boards containing messages against child abuse. She also gave away boards containing messages against child abuse.

It would contain information on whom to contact in case of child abuse. Chief Educational Officer A. Gnanagowri said that these boards would be put up near the Headmasters’ room in all Government schools.
