PSG team wins regional round of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz

R. Pranav and B. Ram Prakash of PSG College of Technology beat 87 teams to win the regional round of the 12th edition of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz, recently held at Vivanta by Taj - Surya.

The duo won a cash prize of Rs. 75,000. They will be battling against champions from eight other cities in the Zone 4 finals, from where the winners will compete in the national finals.

Regional final

In the preliminary round, teams answer 20 questions in the written format, followed by the T20 format regional final. The top six teams were selected from the preliminary written and the subsequent wild card round.

Besides the winners and runners-up, four other teams were on stage for the regional finals.

Rahul Thangaraj and G. Uthresh of Coimbatore Institute of Technology were the runners-up of the event.

The quiz was hosted by ace quizmaster Giri Balasubramaniam, who kept the contestants and the audience constantly engaged with his questions. General manager of Vivanta by Taj – Surya B.C. Kumar gave away the cash prize of Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 35,000 to the winners and runners-up, respectively. The quiz is conducted in 36 cities, from where the winners compete in the regional and zonal finals before the national finals.

The team winning the national round will get a cash prize of Rs. 5 lakh and a trophy.
