‘Provide jobs to kin of those killed’

April 23, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:36 am IST - COIMBATORE:

The Social Justice Front has urged the State Government to provide adequate compensation, including jobs, to family members of those killed in the encounter in Seshachalam forests in Andhra Pradesh.

The organisation’s president N. Panneer Selvam told reporters on Tuesday that a fact finding team it had sent had discovered enough evidences to suggest that the Andhra Pradesh police had pulled out the Tamils from buses and killed them in the forests.

At the place where the 20 were killed there were no red sanders, Mr. Selvam claimed. He said that some the villagers who were killed were not wood cutters, as alleged.

He added that the organisation would strive to bring out all Tamils who have been falsely implicated in various cases and jailed in Andhra Pradesh.

The organisation released videos, which they claimed, contained visuals to prove that it was a fake encounter.
