Power loom strike on Friday in Tamil Nadu

Power looms in Tamil Nadu would strike work on Friday protesting against increase in prices of yarn.

Nearly five lakh power looms in the State would participate in the strike, M S Mathivanan, Chairman, All India Power Loom Federation told reporters here last night.

He said the prices of yarn had doubled during the last six months and appealed to the Centre to ban export of cotton immediately.
