Photo expo on Tibet from Friday

A two-day photo exhibition of Tibet and its people is being organised at Hotel Annamalai on Railway Station Road from Friday.

Tibet Museum of the Department of the Department of Information and International Relations, Central Tibetan Administration, and Friends of Tibet, Coimbatore, is organising the expo.

The exhibition will feature photographic narratives of Tibetans’ life in exile and about their self-immolation. The expo is titled ‘Tibet journey into exile’.

Visit The expo comes ahead of the scheduled visit of Tibetan spiritual leader and Noble Laureate Dalali Lama to the city on January 7.

He is scheduled to take part in the 150 year celebration of Swami Vivekananda titled ‘Viveka 150’ organised by Uniram Trust and Ramana Maharishi Sanmarga Bakthi Sangham. The event will be held at CODISSIA Expo on January 7.
