Over 11,000 appear for TNUSRB examination

As many as 11,256 candidates appeared for Tamil Nadu Uniformed Service Recruitment Board's

(TNUSRB) examination for the posts of police constables, jail wardens and firemen on Sunday.

The examination was held in two venues in Coimbatore. While 1,256 persons wrote the examination at Hindustan Arts and Science College, 10,000 candidates appeared for the examination at the centre in CODISSIA.

The examination started at 10 a.m. and was over by 11.20 a.m. The candidates were permitted into the examination halls after thorough checking.

Surveillance cameras were set up and the examination has also been videographed.

Around 1,000 police personnel were deployed at the two venues for bandobust.

City police commissioner A. Amalraj, Inspector General of Police, West Zone, A. Pari, and Coimbatore District (Rural) Superintendent of Police, R. Ramya Bharathi inspected the examination centres.
