Buyers looking out for the best options available in the city for a residential property have 21 property developers displaying their projects at HDFC’s ‘Namma Veedu’.
The four-day property show that was inaugurated on Saturday at Ramakrishna Kalyana Mandapam has ongoing projects, completed ones and proposed launches. Apartments, villas and row houses in the range of Rs. 20 lakh to Rs. 2 crore are available at the fair.
Apart from the apartments and independent houses, one of the segments that is seeing increasing demand here is integrated townships and a handful of developers are coming out with these, mostly located in the fringe areas of the city. The townships have independent houses and apartments with common facilities. The participants have displayed details of the projects and some of them have also displayed their projects in other cities.
HDFC has a counter to provide loan counselling, on-the-spot approvals, and property guidance. Loans will be given at a fixed rate of 8.25 per cent for the initial period for all applications received at the fair and approved before January 31, 2010 and partly disbursed by March 31, 2010.
According to an official of the HDFC, the previous edition of the fair organised by HDFC here was in December 2007 and it attracted over 60,000 footfalls. With a revival in demand, this edition is expected to have higher number of visitors. The exhibition is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and entry is free.
