Nominated MLA promises funds

Oscar .C. Nigli, nominated member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, has assured the residents of Carmel Nagar Colony that their request for funds towards development of children's park in their locality would be considered.

Dr. Nigli, who represents the Anglo Indian community in the Assembly, participated in a meeting organised by the Carmel Nagar Colony welfare association at Podanur. In response to the request of the Carmel Nagar Residents Association for the infrastructural development Dr. Nigli met the residents.

N. Prabhakaran, Kurichi Panchayat President, and Vijayaraj, the 15th ward councillor, were also present on the occasion.

He also visited the St. Joseph's Home for the Aged and Destitute and donated money to the Samaritan sisters who manage the home.
