The Armed reserve personnel in Erode district will soon get a new spacious ground and training facilities.

The construction of buildings and various other facilities on 15 acres acquired by the district police administration at Anaikalpalayam here, is nearing completion. The unit is now functioning from the Office of the Superintendent of Police. The unit has over 500 personnel.

Once completed the entire Armed reserve unit would be moved Anaikalpalayam. The arms would also be shifted. It was planned to use the ground for parking the police vehicles. Superintendent of Police T. Jayachandran said that the construction was expected to be completed in two months.
