Municipal Administration Commissioner reviews development works

Municipal Administration Commissioner Chandrakanth B. Kamble on Monday reviewed the development works at Mettupalayam Municipality in Coimbatore district.

He inspected the new office building under construction at a cost of Rs.2 crore.

He also visited the Jawaharlal Nehru Municipal Bus Stand and instructed the local body officials to carry out improvement works shortly. The Commissioner then proceeded to ‘Santhivanam,’ a gasifier crematorium established by the Municipality and maintained by Rotary club of Mettupalayam.

Following this, he held discussions with the Municipal Chairman D. Satheesh Kumar and the Councillors regarding various projects to be implemented such as the Under Ground Drainage scheme, waste water treatment plant, establishment of a fish market, construction of vehicle parking facilities in Jawaharlal Nehru Municipal Bus stand.
