More than 2,300 Class XII boys and girls in the city on Sunday took the mock engineering and medical entrance examinations, which the T.I.M.E., an institute, conducted at two places in the city.
According to A. Aravind, Centre Director, the test was part of an all-India mock test the institute conducted to help the students have an idea of what the all-India engineering and medical entrance examinations would be. The students in Coimbatore took the test at the Stanes All India Higher Secondary School and Bharati Matriculation School.
By attending the examinations, the students would have had a fair idea of what was expected of them for making it to the top engineering and medical colleges in the country and how they should prepare to successfully complete the examinations.
The Coimbatore branch would send the answer scripts to the T.I.M.E. head office in Hyderabad, where the evaluation would take place. The students, in 15 days from now, would know where they stand vis-à-vis the national topper, state topper and city topper.
