Medical camp at CMCH to mark CM’s 66th birthday

An open-to-all health check up camp will be held on February 24

The Coimbatore Medical College Hospital will conduct a special medical camp at the Police Community Hall on Avinashi Road on February 21 to mark Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s 66 birthday, which falls on February 24.

According to Hospital Dean R. Vimala, a complete health check up would be performed on the day. “We are going to provide all these facilities under one roof at the community hall, which is also easily accessible as it was on the main road. The camp will be open to all and no identification documents are required,” she said.

The camp would be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Enrolment camps

The Directorate of Medical and Rural Health Services is also organising 52 special enrolment camps here for the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) to birthday celebrations.According to Dawood Fathima, Joint Director, Medical and Rural Services, the camps were being held at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital and the Government Hospitals at Mettupalayam and Pollachi and at the private hospitals empanelled under this scheme.

Complete medical checkups would be performed.
