Mayor opens ward offices

Offices were opened in as many as 19 wards

Mayor S.M. Velusamy on Friday opened 19 ward offices, most of which were in added areas.

A release from the civic body said that he opened the offices in Ward 97 near the Sundarapuram tomato market, in Ward 98 near the Podanur railway gate, in Ward 37 in Gurusamy Nagar, in Ward 56 in Chandrakanthi Nagar, in Ward 92 in Kuniamuthur on Palakkad Road, in Ward 78 in Selvapuram Housing Unit, in Ward 24 in Shastri Maidan, in Ward 22 in Bharathi Park Fourth Street, in Ward 14 in Velandipalayam, in Ward 20 in Seeranaickenpalayam, in Ward 19 in Veerakeralam, in Ward 17 in Vadavalli, in Ward 9 in Kavundampalayam, in Ward 5 in Cheran Nagar, in Ward 25 on Devangapet Street, in Ward 80 on Raja Street, in Ward 81 near the Corporation wedding hall, in Ward 72 in Kattoor and in Ward 52 in Ramakrishnan Road – Gandhipuram First Street Junction.

At the time of his inaugurating the buildings, members of Legislative Assembly, Corporation Commissioner G. Latha, Deputy Mayor Leelavathi Unni, Deputy Commissioner S. Sivarasu, City Engineer K. Sugumar, and other officials were present.
