Mayor R. Venkatachalam on Friday inaugurated a science park at the Tatabad Corporation Middle School in the city with over 20 models of scientific tools.
The inaugural function was attended by Education and Parks Committee Chairman R. Kalyanasundaram, councillors V.K.S.K. Senthilkumar, Gayathri and Mohan Kumar.
The park has nearly 20 models of scientific tools to explain the principles of physics, DNA structure, periodic table, automobile chassis, engine, gear box and steering box to explain to the students the fundamental principles of science and to kindle scientific interest among the student community.
Though the park is situated in the Tatabad Corporation School it is open to students from all other schools and public, officials said.
