Mayor inaugurates maternity centre in Coimbatore

Mayor S.M. Velusamy declared open the new building that the Corporation had constructed at the K.K. Pudur maternity centre. According to a release from the Coimbatore Corporation, the civic body had constructed the new building at Rs. 29.24 lakh to accommodate six in-patients at any given point in time. The building was spread over 1,400 sq.ft.

The release also said that the Mayor inaugurated a park on Kaliammal Street that was spread over 5,900 sq.ft. Commissioner G. Latha, Deputy Mayor Leelavathi Unni, West Zone Chairperson Savithri Parthiban and others were present on the occasion.
