Man wanted in four cheating cases appears in court

April 28, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:55 am IST - COIMBATORE:

Michael Soosai alias G. Karunairaj (52) of Malaysia, who was released from a special camp in Tiruchi on April 15, appeared in a Coimbatore court with his wife N. Jayanthi (37), on Monday in connection with four cheating cases.

Following a G.O., he was released from the camp in mid-April on the condition that he stayed with his wife at the Tiruvallur address he had furnished. State ‘Q’ Branch was to keep tab on him. There were reports that he had gone underground or fled the country.

The 52-year-old hails from Cheyyur in Kancheepuram and lives in Malaysia. He claimed that all the five cases against him in Tamil Nadu – one of murder at Kancheepuram in 2004 and four of cheating some persons in Coimbatore with the promise of getting them jobs in MNCs – were fabricated by the police.
