Man murdered

A 30-year-old man was murdered at the Singanallur Bus Stand on Wednesday evening. According to sources, the man was murdered when he attempted to flee after robbing a passenger of his mobile phone. The Singanallur Police have picked up Prabhu of Pattanam Pudur for questioning.

Women robbed

Unidentified persons snatched Saibaba Colony resident S. Meenakshi’s three-and-half sovereign chain in Maniakaranpudur on Tuesday. Within 15 minutes, Revathi of Maniam Velappar Street lost her five-and-half sovereign gold chain to two persons on a motorcycle.
