Man held in Pollachi for unauthorised sale of petrol

Officials from the District Supply Office and flying squad on Thursday raided a thatched hut in Muthugoundanur of Puravipalayam village in Pollachi and seized 40 litres of petrol stocked there for unauthorised sale at a premium rate.

Following information about C. Kulandaivel indulging in hoarding, sale of petrol, diesel, kerosene and even arrack, a raid was organised. Teams found C. Sadayappan, a salesman, indulging in sale of petrol. Forty litres was seized and Civil Supplies CID police were asked to initiate action against Sadayappan.
