Major fronts in disarray: BJP

March 29, 2011 12:48 am | Updated 12:48 am IST - Coimbatore:

The two major fronts — one led by the DMK and the other by the AIADMK — are in disarray as there is no coordination among the allies in both the fronts, said Muralidar Rao, national secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), here on Monday.

Even prominent leaders of the major parties in the State had changed constituencies, fearing loss owing to lack of popularity among voters.

Corruption was the main poll plank of the BJP and it aimed at having a sizeable representation in the Assembly.

That was why it decided to contest in 207 of the 234 seats. Mr. Rao accused the Congress and the DMK of involvement in Commonwealth Games and 2G spectrum scams. He criticised the State government for its failure to check the decline in agriculture and industry and lack of vision for linking rivers in the State.
