Load shedding increased to three hours

Load shedding for urban electricity consumers here will be for three hours a day from March 28 (Sunday).

According to an official of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, the board was implementing two hours of load shedding a day now. This will be increased to three hours from Sunday.

Further, the 20 per cent power cut for High Tension industrial and commercial consumers has been increased to 30 per cent with effect from March 28.

Six hours

In the case of rural feeders, the consumers now received three phase supply for six hours during day time and for four hours at night.

This has been revised to six hours during day time and three hours at night, apart from the three hours load shedding every day, according to the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board official here.
