Land use details on Net soon

If all goes well, Tamil Nadu will soon have a database on the Internet containing for every survey number detail related to land use, crop production, soil fertility and farmers/owners, said Agriculture Minister S. Damodaran.

The Agriculture Production Commissioner and Secretary has tasked the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University's Department of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System to collate the details related to land use, soil and agriculture production, he said at the inauguration of the one-day workshop on ‘Delineation and Codification of Micro-Watersheds', held at TNAU on Saturday.
