Karunanidhi arrives, reviews meet works

Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi arrived at Coimbatore airport on Monday afternoon. He was accorded a reception by the Deputy Chief Minister, Ministers and officials. The Chief Minister on reaching the hotel, had discussions with Ministers and officials on the preparedness for the World Classical Tamil Conference. He reviewed the progress of various works.The Chief Minister will receive the President, Prathibha Devi Singh Patil, who is arriving Coimbatore on Tuesday night for taking part in the inaugural of the conference on Wednesday morning and to witness the procession of floats on Wednesday evening. On Monday evening, the Chief Minister visited the conference pandal, exhibition hall and CODISSIA. Later, he visited the R.S. Puram Corporation Kalaiarangam to witness the Kalai Vizha.
