Members of the Aam Aadmi Party on Monday petitioned the district administration asking it to improve the children’s park near the VOC Park. The party said that many play equipment were corroded and posed a threat to children using them. The park suffered poor maintenance.
The administration should initiate steps to change the play equipment so that children get good, safe rides. The administration should ensure the quality of the new equipment.
The administration should ensure that lovelorn couples were not allowed entry where children play.
The young and the aged who accompany the children find their presence a disturbance in the park.
Though the board outside the children’s park clearly says that the park was out of bounds for adults, the security there allowed adults, which was the reason for many unwanted happenings in the park.
The administration should ensure that the security personnel on duty there allowed children and the adults accompanying them.
It should initiate steps to make policemen patrol the children’s park, VOC Park, and the zoo there so that the places were public-friendly.
The members of the Aam Aadmi Party also presented a petition to the Corporation officials.
