IEEE All India Student Congress at Amrita

As many as 330 select student delegates from 80 institutions across eight States are attending the invite-only event.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) India Council and IEEE Madras Section is hosting the All India Student Congress 2013 from Thursday to October 6. It is being held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in Ettimadai.

M. Ponnavaiko, Chairman of IEEE India Council and Vice-Chancellor of SRM University, inaugurated the Congress in the presence of C.R. Muthukrishnan, former Deputy Director of Indian Institute of Madras, and other academics from the university.

The annual event has brought together young IEEE student and professional members for a series of interactive and networking opportunities.

As many as 330 select student delegates from 80 institutions across eight States are attending the invite-only event.

Sessions

The first three days included talks by IEEE experts. It aimed at providing impetus for its participants to observe, assimilate and learn from many inspiring sessions.

The main IEEE Society event is the innovative project showcase that would be conducted on Sunday where 33 projects have been short-listed from numerous submissions across the nation.

A live webcast of the congress was being done on all days.
