I year students welcomed

First year students of Computer Technology Department were initiated into academics through an ice-breaking session at Kongu Engineering College on Monday. Seniors shared their experiences in the institutions to make the newcomers feel at home.

Students enrolled in the 20th batch of B.Sc. and 11th batch of M.Sc.also listened to pep talks delivered by representatives of college management and had a motivational interaction with the chief guest Sumathi Srii, public speaker.

She exhorted students not to miss any opportunity to utilise talents.

P. Balasubramanie, PG Department Head, and P. Priakanth, UG Department Head facilitated interaction between the freshers and seniors.

College Dean K.Krishnaswamy encouraged students to utilise all available resources in the campus to improve technical as well as communication skills.

Presiding over the function, the college Correspondent V.K.Muthusamy, Correspondent, explained the corollary between reading good books and leading respectable lives while C.Kumarasamy, Correspondent, Kongu Polytechnic College, provided insights into fixing goals and working towards them.
