Human chain protest

Members of Thanthai Periyar Dravida Kazhagam, Kongunadu Jananayaka Katchi, Aam Aadmi Party and a few others staged a human chain protest at Gandhipuram on Saturday against the Kerala Government’s move to construct a dam across River Siruvani.

The protesters raised slogans against the Kerala Government for the move and also against the Central Government. They said that they would fight to protect Tamil Nadu’s interests and warned that the dam would turn parched the western districts of Tamil Nadu and lead to water shortage.
