Under the aegis of the Anna Indu Employees Union workers of the Hindustan Photo Films (HPF) staged a dharna along with their families near the factory at Indunagar near here on Thursday.

The President of the union M.Bheemaraj who led the demonstrators said that it was to urge the Central government to stop dragging its feet in matters pertaining to the ailing company which was looking forward to a revival package.

Pointing out that for many years they have been struggling to get out of the poorly paid employees category, he said that since a wage revision and revival of the company remained an unfulfilled dream and the employees feared that the government was facilitating its slow death they had decided to resort to a series of demonstrations.

Among those who participated was the General Secretary of the Union T.Felix.
