A 40-year-old hospital employee of Anthiyur was arrested and remanded in judicial custody on Thursday for making an attempt to molest a four-year-old girl.
Anguraj, employed in a private hospital at Anthiyur, had allegedly lured the girl in his neighbourhood with chocolates to his house, and had attempted the crime. Hearing the girl’s cries, her mother and neighbours entered the house, overpowered Anguraj and handed him over to the Bhavani All Woman Police.
The accused was booked under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act 2012.
