Heavy rain in the Nilgiris

The Nilgiris district received 368.90 mm rain during the last 24 hours ending 8.30 a.m. on Friday.

The average rainfall stood at 21.70 mm.

The highest of 96 mm of rainfall was reported at Upper Bhavani while the lowest of 1.4 mm was reported at Coonoor.

The rainfall reported at various places in the district is as follows: C Bazar 53 mm, K. Bridge 7, Ketti 2, Naduvattam 65.50, Udhagamandalam 7, Glenmorgan 48, Emerald 18, Avalanche 41, and Devala 30 mm.
