Coimbatore Municipal Corporation Commissioner, K. Vijaykarthikeyan, on Monday dedicated a ‘Harmony Park’ in Chandra Gandhi Nagar in Peelamedu here.

G. Selvaraj, joint managing director of C.R.I. Group of Companies, was present.

The company had developed the park as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility in association with the municipal corporation.

The park has been designed exclusively for elders according to their special needs in 25.5 cents.

A walkers’ path has been laid in a way without steps. A ramp facility too has been provided from the road. The entire walkers path was fitted with steel railings, and it is wheel-chair friendly too. Along the walkers path, six stone benches have also been provided.

To keep the park green, vilvam, shenbagam, sorgam, kadamba, maramalli, and neem have been planted The park was developed in cooperation with Resident Awareness Association of Coimbatore, and GRG Chandra Gandhi Nagar Welfare Association.
