The Information and Public Relations Department of the Tamil Nadu Government has started posting information on Facebook.
A release from the Coimbatore office of the Department said that though it had been disseminating information and government announcements through the media and on its websiteswww.tndipr.gov.inandwww.tn.gov.in, the rise in use of social networking sites, had propelled to it open a page on Facebook.
Henceforth, all information that the Chief Minister announced and government schemes would be posted on TN DIPR page in Facebook, the release said and asked members of the public to make use of the facility.
