M. Sunmathi (4), who sustained injuries while playing at her house on Monday late evening, died as she reportedly had internal injuries in her chest region. The girl and her mother were staying at Sanjay Nagar in the city.
The Tirupur North police have registered a case to investigate further into the incident.
Missing
A mother and her two minor children were reported missing in the city. Sources in the Tirupur South police, which investigate the incident, said P. Rajalakshmi (29) and her children, Sivaranjini (6) and Venkat (4), left the house on Monday evening, but did not return.
