Students from Bay-Ind Summer School (Bavarian-Indian Centre for Business and University) in Bavaria, Germany, called on Mayor P. Rajkumar and Corporation Commissioner K. Vijayakarthikeyan on Wednesday.

Nineteen students and two faculty members are in the city since August 20 as part of an annual visit to India to study its culture, society and political set up. PSG Institutions facilitate their India visit.

The sources said that the visitors learnt about the city from the Mayor, who gave a brief introduction to the city and its culture. He also explained how the city administration functioned. The students asked a few questions about the political set up and shared their experience/understanding of what they saw and learnt in the past few days.

Mr. Vijayakarthikeyan shared his experience of a visit to Germany.
