GCT gets Rs. 10 crore grant

Government College of Technology has received a grant of Rs. 10 crore from the World Bank through the Ministry of Human Resource Development for establishing a ‘Centre of Excellence in Alternative Energy Research’ and a ‘Centre of Excellence in Environmental Studies’.

Research

According to an official release, GCT is the only institution in Tamil Nadu to receive this grant.

It has plans to collaborate with Government departments, industries and universities to carry out extensive research.
