Four persons from different walks of life were selected for the Group Study Exchange programme planned between the Rotary District 3202 here and the Rotary District 6630 based at Ohio in United States of America to be held in the US.
The candidates were chosen from among 17 persons, who were selected from places falling under the entire Rotary District spread over nine districts in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Those selected for the programme were S. Hemalatha, an executive at DHL office in Tirupur; A Dinesh, a lawyer from Kozhikode; Nandita Shah, a classical dancer and a professional corporate advertisement dubbing artist; and V. Subbulakshmi, principal of a private school in Erode.
Srihari Nesamoni, a Tirupur-based entrepreneur, and K.G. Radhakrishnan, an IT entrepreneur from Kozhikode, were chosen as reserve candidates.
N.A. Madhavan, chairman of Group Study Exchange Programme, told The Hindu that the delegation, to be led by Rotarian Chandralekha Nambiar from Tirupur, would be studying the educational systems, functioning of the courts and art forms, among others, in the United States during their month-long visit scheduled to begin on March 18, 2012.
