Eye screening camp held

A total of 445 police personnel and their family members were screened at a two-day comprehensive preventive eye screening camp organised by Sankara Eye Hospital at the Police Recruits Training campus, recently. The camp was organised to detect and curb preventable blindness. City Police Commissioner A.K. Viswanathan inaugurated the camp. According to a release, 107 persons were found to have defects and were referred to the hospital. Thirteen were found to have cataract and 76 persons had refractive error.
