Furniture, wooden doors, roofing solutions, staircase posts and many more requirements of a building have been showcased at Build Intec 2014, a building material and equipment exhibition.

Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (Codissia) has organised the event at its trade fair complex here from February 6 to 9.

The seventh edition of the exhibition has 210 participants.

The stalls display a wide range of products, including imported ones. These include granite wash basins and decorative products, kitchen cabinets, wooden and stainless steel coat stands, street light pillars, UPVC windows, solar water heaters, and pavement blocks.

Coir Board has displayed several products — decorative and utility — made from coir. And, it is not just construction materials and interior decor products that are displayed but also construction equipment. Several participants have a special price offer for those purchasing at the exhibition. The fair will be open from 10.30am to 7.30pm. As a concurrent event, the Codissia has organised Hexpo 2014, an exhibition of products related to the hospitality industry. With about 40 stalls, the expo showcases several kitchen equipment and accessories needed for the hospitality industry. Serving bowls, display stands, tables, glassware, ingredients for bakery products, and ovens are some of the products exhibited. The exhibition is for three days from February 6. It includes participants from Coimbatore and Chennai. The event is especially useful for hotels, institutions, and those in the catering sector. The Hindu is the print media partner for the exhibition.
