K. Pranetha of Bharathi Vidya Bhavan Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Erode, is the district-topper with a score of 1,189 out of 1,200 encompassing centums in three subjects: Accountancy, Economics and Business Maths. The topper has set her eyes on becoming a Chartered Accountant
The second-rank-holder D.K. Shruthi of Bharathi Matriculation HSS who has a centum in Mathematics and 199 in Chemistry and Biology is keen on gaining entry for MBBS. Like Pranetha, the third-rank-holder Amrutha Varshini, also of BVB Matriculation HSS, intends to become a Chartered Accountant. Another third-rank-holder S. Aoorthy of Sri Venkateshwara Vidyalaya Higher Secondary School, Thasampalayam, aims to become a doctor.
The candidates are aware of the difficulties in securing admission to MBBS in view of the compulsion to take up NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test). They have been promised expert coaching in their respective institutions. “The duration is indeed short for preparation. But we will do our best to prepare students aspiring for MBBS,” Senthil Kumar, Correspondent, Bharathi Matric. HSS, Vijayamangalam, said.
