K. Pranetha of Bharathi Vidya Bhavan Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Erode, is the district-topper with a score of 1,189 out of 1,200 encompassing centums in three subjects: Accountancy, Economics and Business Maths. The topper has set her eyes on becoming a Chartered Accountant
The second-rank-holder D.K. Shruthi of Bharathi Matriculation HSS who has a centum in Mathematics and 199 in Chemistry and Biology is keen on gaining entry for MBBS. Like Pranetha, the third-rank-holder Amrutha Varshini, also of BVB Matriculation HSS, intends to become a Chartered Accountant. Another third-rank-holder S. Aoorthy of Sri Venkateshwara Vidyalaya Higher Secondary School, Thasampalayam, aims to become a doctor.
The candidates are aware of the difficulties in securing admission to MBBS in view of the compulsion to take up NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test). They have been promised expert coaching in their respective institutions. “The duration is indeed short for preparation.
