The JK Tyre National Racing Championship has something special every year for its drivers and die-hard motor sport fans.

This time around, JK has packed the season’s opener with more adventure and adrenaline pumping thrills.

So if you wish to experience the excitement that comes with sheer racing and rare attractions that normally one doesn’t get to see in this part of the region then it is time to be at the Kari Motor Speedway circuit in Chettipalayam on July 30 and 31.

The championship will witness the country’s leading racers fight it out in three exciting categories – the newly-launched Euro JK16 BMW cars, Formula LGB4 and Indian Touring Cars.

The JK Euro 16 cars have been upgraded and they are expected to be 10 seconds faster that their previous avatars. Apart from on-the-track thrills there are lot more off it. JK has created an ‘Adventure Zone’ that features several thrilling activities – Zip Line, free fall, tyre swing, Russian ladder and glider to name a few.

It is for both the young and the old. And it is not going to pinch your pockets as well.

The Bikernis’, India's largest community of women bikers, will also be in the city.

“We have been following Bikernis’ activities for some time now and really like what they have been doing. They stand for women’s empowerment and have been rallying for their causes and we wanted to show all our solidarity to them,” said Sanjay Sharma, Head of JK Motorsports.

“As they will be driving from Bengaluru to Coimbatore, we are confident that they will be able to spread the word all along the drive,” he added.

He said the Bikernis’ will also be talking about road safety.

“Even though we support motor racing as a sport, we strongly propagate safety on and off the track. And we want to help youngsters in the city understand this.”

About the off-track activation, Mr. Sharma said Coimbatore is the Mecca of Racing. In the last one month itself we have seen four big races taking place here. This has become the destination for racing enthusiasts, with its background and history.”

“While we have built a loyal fan base and race lovers turn up in big numbers to enjoy the section, we thought we should make it a nice outing for the entire family. That is precisely why we are setting up an adventure zone so that children and youngsters can enjoy themselves all through the day,” he added.
