The Department of Posts has announced that it will be selling gold coins at special discount rates to the public through 10 post offices in Tirupur division on June 22 in connection with ‘Pushya Nakshatra’ festivity.
A release said that a discount of 6.5 per cent would be offered on the sale price of gold coins, sold in partnership with Reliance Money Infrastructure Limited.

Following is the list of post offices from where the public could purchase the gold coins at the special discount price:
Head post offices at Tirupur, Mettupalayam, Dharapuram, and post offices at Avinashi, Palladam, Kangayam, Tirupur cotton market, Sulur, Kangayampalayam and Sathyamangalam.
The Department of Posts sources said that it had planned to hold a dak adalat and customer meet at the office of Superintendent of Post offices (Tirupur Division) here on June 26. Suggestions and complaints to be discussed during the events should be given in advance to the Postal Department officials before June 22 evening.
