To mark the wildlife week celebrations, Osai, an NGO involved in nature conservation activities, organised a cycle rally in a bid to create awareness among the people on the need to protect ecological systems.

District Forest Officer V. Thirunavukkarasu flagged off the rally from VOC Park Grounds in the early hours of Tuesday.

The cyclists wound their way via Huzur Road, Race Course, Red Fields Road, Puliakulam, Sungam, West Club Road and reached VOC Park. The participants were largely Osai members, En-Cycle Movement (promoting cycling activity) volunteers, nature enthusiasts, wildlife activists.
