Corporation warns poultry shop owners

October 27, 2013 11:15 am | Updated 11:15 am IST - COIMBATORE:

The Coimbatore Corporation has warned poultry shop owners to obtain license and then start business. In a release the civic body has said that the shop owners should not sell chicken in carry bags, should dispose of the waste in a safe manner and not dump the same in the open.

The Corporation was forced to issue the warning after it came to light that many poultry shop owners did not abide by the rules. The owners should dump the waste only in the vehicles the Corporation had earmarked for the purpose.

Any violation would invite severe action from the authorities concerned.
