Tamil Nadu Women Development Corporation Private Limited and ‘Puthu Vazhvu Thittam’ are jointly conducting a ‘College Bazaar’ at Sree Ramu College of Arts and Science, Pollachi, from August 13 to 15.

The bazaar has stalls displaying products made by women of Self-Help Groups. Such bazaars are being held at regular intervals in colleges to popularise and commercialise the products of SHG women.

The College Bazaar was inaugurated by District Collector M. Karunagaran in the presence of Puthu Vazhvu Thittam Director Murugan and District Manager Devakumar.

Students from neighbouring colleges and schools are visiting the bazaar to buy products. The Collector said that this exposure would benefit the students in appreciating the worth of the products and helping the women on a long-term basis for improving their livelihood.
