Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Monday inaugurated the newly-constructed offices of the All Women Police Station – West and the Law and Order, Crime and Traffic Assistant Commissioners of Police – West by unveiling the plaque at Chennai.
Commissioner of Police Amaresh Pujari along with officers went around the new offices after which the space was occupied by the staff of the respective offices.
The new offices of the Assistant Commissioners of Police – Law and Order, Crime and Traffic and All Women Police Station – West measuring 389.65 sq ft were constructed at a cost of Rs. 34.76 lakh in the first and second floors of the B 2 R.S. Puram police station on Subramaniam Road in R.S. Puram.
Rented premises
With the inauguration of the new buildings, these offices which were hitherto functioning in a rented premises at Flower Market will move to the modern and well-equipped premises.
