Children spread awareness on social issues

Children aged three to six-years-old participated in the ‘Chutti Krishna 2015’ fancy dress competition that was organised by Brookefields mall here on Sunday as part of Krishna Jayanthi celebrations. Aimed at providing a platform for children to exhibit their talents, the competition was organised for the 5{+t}{+h}consecutive year.

Seventy-two children dressed like little Krishna performed in the 30 seconds time slot given to them to create awareness on topics such as avoiding plastics, green city clean city, service to society and planting saplings. The participants were divided into two categories based on their age.

Transgender news reader Padmini Prakash, chief executive officer and secretary of VLB College Jaishree Santhosh and correspondent of Anugraha Mandir School A.L. Shobhaa were judges for the event. Three prizes were given away to the winners in both the categories.

In category ‘A’ Anannya Sriram, Yashwanth and Aswath A. bagged the first three prizes. In category ‘B’ S. Anishka, K.S. Mohithavarsaa and M. Mithra bagged the first, second and third prizes.
