Chidambaram writes to Karunanidhi

Union Minister of Home Affairs P. Chidambaram has written to Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi to consider favourably the Coimbatore Corporation's request for installing a statue of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

In his letter dated December 18, Mr. Chidambaram informed Mr. Karunanidhi that the civic body had passed a resolution in this regard on June 22, 2009 and sent a letter to the government on July 23, 2010.
