Certificate scrutiny begins

The scrutiny of graduation certificates and other credentials of the candidates shortlisted for the posts of teachers in various higher secondary and high schools, commenced in the district at K.S.C. Government Higher Secondary School premises on Wednesday.

The verification process will end on May 14, according to the officials here.

Teachers

Chief Educational Officer T. Rajendiran said that as many as 287 candidates from the district had been shortlisted through the District Employment Exchange for the posts of teachers.

Once the certificates were verified by the authorities, the names of the candidates would be forwarded for empanelling at the State level.

In the district, 107 higher secondary and high schools were run directly by the State Government.

“Of the total sanctioned strength of teachers at these schools, 107 posts are lying vacant,” the Chief Educational Officer told The Hindu .
