Carcass of dog found in TNHB quarter's well

A carcass of a dog, wastes, pet bottles and polythene bags were found in a well that supply water to over 172 MIG houses in the Housing Board Colony on Royakottai Road in Krishnagiri district. A complaint was made to the housing board office two days ago, but no action was taken till date, say residents of the Tamil Nadu Government Employees Quarters.

When contacted, a staff at the TNHB said that the complaint has been forwarded to the Kattiganapalli Panchayat, as maintain the quarters and supply water.

The residents have appealed to the panchayat to remove the carcass.

The TNHB residents are being supplied drinking water from bore wells within the Kattiganapalli Panchayat.

S. Perumal, president, Kattiganapalli Panchayat, told The Hindu that the well would be cleaned on Wednesday.
