Vikasa Tarangini, a non-profit organisation, will conduct a blood donation camp on July 31 at Kamalam Duraiswamy Hall, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The camp will be held jointly with Atama.

Global Garden of Peace and Friendship recently held its 11th annual prize distribution day. A release said that former vice-chancellor, Anna University, E. Balaguruswamy, presided over the function. Professor Jayantasri Balakrishnan spoke on students’ welfare, parents’ duty, societal responsibility. The organisers gave away prizes to students of government, government-aided and Coimbatore Corporation schools who had excelled in SSLC and Plus Two examinations.
