Displaying a wide range of eco-friendly and cost effective gadgets, the seventh edition of the building material exhibition organised by Tirupur Civil Engineers Association commenced here on Friday.
One of the main attractions at the three-day expo is the security steel doors with a multi-position 13-lever locking system exhibited by a Kochi-based company. These virtually tamper-proof doors, which are yet to gain popularity in Tirupur where incidences of burglaries were high, could provide relief to the house owners when they had to go away for longer duration.
The UPVC (unplasticised poly vinyl chloride) doors that could prevent invasion of noise and dust into the rooms, wide range of floor tiles and solar lighting systems in different variations, were some of the other attractions at the fair.
